Atomic Models


For a long time, the constitution of matter generated curiosity in man. Since ancient times, philosophers have been trying to figure out how matter is formed.

Two Greek philosophers, Democritus and Leucippus, suggested that all matter was made up of small indivisible bodies.

They called these bodies atom. In Greek The means no and tomes means divisible. So atom was the last particle, which could not be divided.

In the 500 and 1500 years of the Christian era, the Arabs and Europeans alchemists.

His works aimed at obtaining the elixir of long life, so that the human being became immortal. It was the philosopher's stone, capable of turning any metal into gold.

 

In the sixteenth century, iatrochemistry arose, a medical doctrine that attributed the chemical cause to everything that was going on in the body.

Later, in the eighteenth century, the idea of ​​chemistry was born with scientists who studied the "Ponderal Laws", Lavoisier and Proust.

Atomic models are theories based on experimentation by scientists to explain what the atom looks like.

Models do not exist in nature. These are just explanations to show why a phenomenon.

Many scientists have developed their theories. Over time, the models evolved, until they reach the current model.
